National lottery to get in on the sports betting market
 
A sports betting proposal submitted to the Belgian Cabinet by Finance Minister Steven Vanackere and Justice Minister Annemie Turtelboom was approved this week.
 
The draft Royal Decree proposes permission for the Belgian National Lottery to apply for a F1 licence in order to operate sports betting along with other private operators in the country.
 
The bill will move forward to the Conseil d'Etat, Belgium's Supreme Administrative Court for approval.
