Malta LGA Rebrands to Malta Gaming Authority

Tuesday January 20,2015 :  MALTA’S LGA REBRANDS TO MALTA GAMING AUTHORITY

Launches across multiple digital media channels

Malta’s Lotteries & Gaming Authority (LGA) has rebranded as the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) along with a revamped online and offline corporate image across all digital media channels.

The refresh of its corporate branding better reflects “the industry’s challenges, focus on Malta as the jurisdiction of choice and signals a new vision for the industry”, the MGA said in a statement.

The launch, which was presided by Dr Chris Cardona – Malta’s Minister for the Economy, Investment and Small Business and Dr José Herrera – the Parliamentary Secretary for Competitiveness and Economic Growth, was held at the Westin Dragonara Resort.

“The new name and logo will serve as a better representation of the Authority’s heritage, past successes, vision and values within the national agenda and in line with our strategic objectives”, said Joseph Cuschieri, executive chairman of the MGA.

The MGA’s new website at mga.org.mt delivers responsive web design across all platforms and offers players the opportunity to communicate directly with the Authority’s Player Support team via a live chat facility.

And social media has also been covered with a new Facebook and Twitter account along with a revamped LinkedIn page which the Authority says will be monitored and updated on a regular basis.

The revamp and establishment of the Responsible Gaming Foundation along with the introduction of Gaming Malta and the Gaming Academy later this year will continue to consolidate Malta’s position as a centre of excellence, concluded the MGA.
