Mark Buser joined the Pokerstars team

Mark Buser joined the Pokerstars team in April this year.
 
In the three months he has been working as director of social gaming for Pokerstars, US exec Mark Buser has reportedly already made an impact.
 
The widely experienced gaming exec, who lives in San Francisco, joined in April this year after serving as Investor/Advisor at Million Levers.com, a project aimed at improving retention and conversion rates in online, social and mobile games and apps through data mining and other hi-tech techniques, according to Buser's Linked In page.
 
Between December 2010 and September 2012 Buser was general manager of the Fresh Deck Poker project at Idle Games in the San Francisco area, creating what he claims is "…the first "real money" ready poker game for Facebook. The game features an awesome mini-game that is virality worth having. The first person view is awesome and is a design that is sure to be copied. Game is awesome on browser, iOS and android."
 
Prior to Idle Games, Buser managed Russian programs at  United Technologies in the aerospace and aviation industry from January 2005 to January 2011 as part of a career with the company spanning several decades, and at other aviation companies such as Pratt and Whitney jet propulsion.
 
Buser's graduate education includes alma maters such as the All Russian Institute of Aviation Materials (1989 – 1993), the Monterey Institute of International Studies (1984 – 1986) and the University of California, Berkeley (1974 – 1977).
 
In addition to English he is fluent in the Russian language and at one point in his career worked as a translator for a major media network.
