The pitching matchup looks very good for Miami. Jose Fernandez (2.58 FIP) will make his ninth start of the season. Fernandez struck out 11 batters in each of his last two starts, allowing just one earned run over 14 innings combined.
The Nationals, meanwhile, are at the bottom of their starting rotation with sophomore righty Joe Ross (3.36 FIP).
