Massachusetts online poker legalization failed

Massachusetts Representative Daniel Winslow's attempt to tack an online poker legalization amendment on to a critical state budgetry bill before the state Legislature has failed.
 
Winslow faced some opposition from lawmakers who did not wish to delay or bog down the bill with what they saw as irrelevant amendments.
 
Bluff Magazine writer Chris Krafcik reported this week that the Massachusetts House Clerk’s Office has confirmed the measure has been effectively withdrawn from consideration.
 
Winslow is on record as saying that he is content that the bill stimulated discussion among his colleagues, and that he intends to take another run at legalization in 2013.
