Thursday June 4,2015 : PESCATORI WINS THIRD W.S.O.P. BRACELET
Nevada poker pro clinches event 9 in his tenth World Series of Poker final table.
Las Vegas poker pro Max Pescatori (44) has just won his third World Series of Poker winner's bracelet on his tenth WSOP final table, triumphing in event 9 – the $1,500 Razz championship – to claim the $155,947 first prize, bringing his career earnings within shouting distance of $2 million.
It was "The Italian Pirate's" 46th WSOP cash against a tough field of 462 – bigger than last year's 352 entries, and a final table that included top players like Ryan Miller, Chris George, Matthew Smith, Eli Elezra, Randy Kaas and Robin Lee.
Prescatori has over a million chips more than Ryan Miller when play reached the heads up stage, and he was able to translate that into a victory despite a game effort by Miller, whose runner up prize was $96,349.
Describing his victory after a rather dry spell as "sweet" Pescatore observed that he is the first Italian-born WSOP player to hold three winner's bracelets.
