Michelle Chin Wins WSOP Horseshoe Casino Circuit

Michelle Chin has made World Series of Poker (WSOP) history at Horseshoe Casino in Council Bluffs, Iowa by becoming the first-ever female champion of a World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event.

Chin, a Taiwan native and resident of Wichita, Kansas, who classifies herself as a recreational poker player bested a totally male dominated final table to win the title, $88 126 in prize money and a WSOP gold ring.

She’ll be one to watch, the currently unemployed former restaurant owner recorded her first WSOP victory in the Choctaw Ladies event earlier this year.

“It feels really great," Chin said after the victory. "This is probably at most the 10th tournament I’ve ever played in my life. It’s just awesome to make history.”
