Mickey Petersen Wins European Poker Tour Copenhagen

02/26/2012 :  POKERSTARS PROS IN COPENHAGEN POKER HEADS UP

Petersen and Neuville slug it out for Euro 338,133 main prize

The European Poker Tour Copenhagen produced some unusual fireworks after six days of hectic action when two Pokerstars professional players ended up facing each other in the heads up.

Internet aces Mickey Petersen and Pierre Neuville slugged it out for a monumental but surprisingly unexciting six hours in the heads up before Petersen was finally able to despatch his opponent and claim the Euro 338,133 main prize.

Earlier the two had survived an entry field of 299 players to end up on a final table comprising Bjarke Hansen, Aage Ravn (chip leader), Jacob Rasmussen, Niels van Alphen, Steve O'Dwyer and Spencer Hudson.

Bjarke Hansen finished third.

Madrid is the next stop for the European Poker Tour, with play commencing on March 12.
