Move proposed to cover revenue shortfalls
 
According to Focus-Fen.net, the Moldovan Ministry of Finance is proposing a 60 percent increase in gambling licence awards along with a 30 percent increase in mobile gambling service awards to cover losses in revenue as a result of revisions it made to the 2012 Government budget.
 
Readers will recall Canadian firm Amaya Gaming winning an exclusive 20-year contract with the National Lottery of Moldova towards the end of last year for the provision of a full range of gaming solutions including lottery systems, video lottery terminals, sports betting, and digital gaming.
