Mr Green awarded a UK online gambling operator licence

New licence follows authority to operate in Italian market.
 
AktieTorg-listed Mr Green & Co AB, through its subsidiary, internet casino Mr Green Ltd, has been awarded a UK online gambling operator licence.
 
The application for the licence was part of Mr. Green's strategic plan to enter regulated European markets, and follows the successful achievement of licenced status in the Italian market.
 
"After Italy, the UK is the second market in which Mr Green has received a local licence. The assessment is that the proportion of revenue from locally regulated markets will rise to considerable levels within a few years," said Mr Green chief executive Per Norman in a statement.
 
"Mr Green is keen to see more countries implementing regulation that allows more players to conduct operations on equal terms, at the same time as assuming social responsibility for gaming."
