Extensions For Nevada Online Gambling Licenses

Thursday August 8,2013 : NEVADA GAMING CONTROL BOARD GRANTS ONLINE LICENSING EXTENSIONS

Three applicants get another six months to shape up

On Wednesday the Nevada Gaming Control Board granted three companies that have already been given preliminary approval toward online poker licensing six month extensions.

The Las Vegas Sun reported that preliminary approvals granted to ACEP Interactive at the Stratosphere, South Point Poker and Monarch Interactive at the Atlantis hotel-casino in Reno had been extended to allow the applicants more time to meet Gaming Commission requirements for licensing.

Board chairman A.G. Burnett said the law requires companies to activate their licenses within six months. He said these firms are in a "holding" mode, waiting to see how the market emerges, or are still fine tuning their online poker systems or products.
