Is Nevada Getting an Online Poker Network

Friday July 11,2014 : ONLINE POKER NETWORK FOR NEVADA?

Network plan clears first regulatory hurdle.

A planned interactive gaming system that could house online poker websites for multiple casinos, potentially increasing the player pool in Nevada, has been initially approved by the Nevada Gaming Control Board and is now before the Nevada Gaming Commission for final approval towards the end of July.

The Las Vegas Review Journal reports that the technology deployed would come from 888 Holdings, and could set standards for a shared gaming network with Delaware, which has participated in talks with Nevada in the past .

888's close business association with Caesars Interactive's WSOP.com and Treasure Island should ease the introduction of an inter-operator online network, increasing the number of players in a single online poker room at any given time and sharing revenue.

The network would be available for other casinos with poker rooms to join, thus creating more online poker tables and attracting more players, whilst giving the casinos another source of revenue and marketing, and delivering to their players a wider choice of gaming alternatives.
