12/11/2012 : NBA Preview: New York Knicks vs. Brooklyn Nets

It the battle of New York, round two as the Knicks take on the Nets at Madison Square Garden. The first game had to be decided in overtime, so we can expect this game will be exciting. Brooklyn vs. New York is turning into one of, if not the biggest rivalry in the NBA. It is games like these that make sports betting, not just a game but an experience.

Brooklyn Nets

The Nets (11-8) are looking to break their four game losing streak against one of the toughest teams in the eastern conference. Brooklyn won their last game against the Knicks in overtime, and are looking for the same result come tonight. Brook Lopez, who has been out the last five games should be back in the lineup tonight. Against the Knicks Lopez had 22 points with 11 rebounds and five blocks. The Nets will need his power tonight if they want to hold off the powerhouse Knicks.

New York Knicks

Although New York lost the first matchup, tonight could be a different story. Jason Kidd who missed the first game with a back injury will be in the lineup tonight. Kidd has now started his last three games, and tallied 17 points with seven assists against the Nuggets. The Knicks are a perfect 8-0 at home and won their last game, therefore many sports books have the Knicks as the favorite.

It should be another close game tonight, but the perfect home record for the Knicks should be able to stop the Nets. As of right now, many of the best online betting sites and sports books have the Knicks as the winner by 3.5. The over under is set at 195 points, but many NBA experts say that both teams will probably score around the 80 point mark.
