Investors give Next Gaming $6 million

Thursday March 13,2014 : DOES FINNISH FIRM HAVE MOBILE GAMBLING AMBITIONS?

Investors give Next Gaming $6 million.

The five young Finns who started general mobile gaming company Next Gaming have generated sufficient investor confidence to attract $6 million in capital, reports VentureBeat.

Experienced game developers Joakim Achren, Mikael Achren, Jaakko Jumisko, Kalle Hiitola are led by CEO Teemu Huuhtanen and have ambitions to become pre-eminent in world gaming with innovative offerings currently in production based on themes such as The Walking Dead.

Their expertise has been honed in previous posts that have seen the production of games like Rovio’s Angry Birds and Supercell’s Clash of Clans.

It is not clear whether they have plans to enter the competitive but potentially lucrative world of mobile gaming, given Finland's high profile in that sector.

Huuhtanen told VentureBeat that the $6 million raised by Next Gaming would be used mainly to build the company's own user acquisition, and for games development.
