Community website joins sponsorship roster
 
Sports betting community website OLBG.com has signed up as sponsor of the Cheltenham Festival's Grade 2 National Hunt race "The David Nicholson Mares' Hurdle".
 
The race, to be renamed the OLBG Mares Hurdle (for The David Nicholson Trophy), is run over two miles and four furlongs and is open to mares aged four years and older.
 
The winner takes away The David Nicholson Trophy, a tribute to the memory of well known British National Hunt jockey and trainer David Nicholson.
 
Richard Moffat, chief operating officer at OLBG.com said, “OLBG will continue to honour David Nicholson’s memory and outstanding contribution to National Hunt Racing and through our sponsorship, we hope to work with Jockey Club Racecourses, Cheltenham Racecourse, The Thoroughbred Breeders Association and others to help improve the opportunities for mares in the sport."
