1.8 percent drop in online poker traffic this week

Tough economic conditions and a decline in popularity
 
PokerScout stats for the week past show a 1.8 percent drop in online poker traffic, with PokerStars the only top 10 gainer showing a lift of 5 percent for the week attributed to its 90 billionth hand promotion.
 
Full Tilt Poker continues to settle from its launch high with a fall in traffic of around 40 percent since its November 6 launch and a 19 percent weekly decline.
 
Year-over-year changes see PokerStars -9 percent and iPoker Network -33 percent listed among the top three, while notable gainers include iPoker.fr up 208 percent and Revolution Gaming (formerly Cake Poker Network) up 52 percent.
 
Notable decliners include predictably IGT Poker (-97 percent), IPN (-49 percent), Merge (-45 percent), PKR (-29 percent) and Ongame (-27 percent).
 
Winning Poker Network (formerly Yatahay) – up 200 percent, Enet Poker Network – down 59 percent and Everleaf Gaming Network – down 49 percent made it into PokerScout's small but interesting category.
