34 PERCENT DROP IN ONLINE POKER TRAFFIC

Wednesday October 12, 2011 : Latest Pokerscout numbers paint a dismal year-on-year picture

The independent online poker industry monitor Pokerscout's latest weekly report continues to showcase internet poker traffic in a declining trend year-on-year, which it attributed to the Black Friday enforcement actions in the United States, and a sluggish post-summer recovery.

According to PokerScout's ACES indicator, online poker traffic (excluding Italy) has decreased by 34 percent in the last year.

Notable gainers on this week's report are 888poker, up 107 percent; Bodog, which has increased traffic by 54 percent and the Merge Gaming Network – up 42 percent.
