Pablo Tavitian wins Pokerstars LAPT Chile

Tavitian emerges victorious to claim the $184,220 top prize.
 
Argentina's Pablo Alexander Tavitian has taken down the $1,000 buy-in 2013 PokerStars Latin American Poker Tour Chile main event, besting a record field of 765 entrants with 259 re-entries that generated a prize pool of $993,000.
 
By Day 4 the field was down to a final table of Tavitian and Sebastian Marcel Miranda, Alejandro Chokakis, Leonardo Martins, Jaime Zamanillo Mayol, Sergio Braga, Fernando Javier Gordo and Jose "Nacho" Barbero, with Mayol holding the chip lead at the start.
 
With the elimination of Barbero in third place for $78,460 the heads up between Tavitian and Leonardo Martins developed with the Argentinian coming out on top to claim the $184,220 main prize, leaving his opponent with the runner-up check for $117,200.
