PartyPoker getting Into Speed Poker

Thursday August 9,2012 : PARTY POKER JOINS THE FAST-FOLD TREND

Industry veteran slow in getting aboard the speed poker train

Surprisingly for an online poker company that is a pioneer in the industry, Bwin's Party Poker subsidiary is only now getting into the fast-fold poker sector that has proved so hugely popular with other providers.

First introduced to speed up the action by Full Tilt Poker back in 2010 with its Rush Poker, the variant was an instant hit and was soon emulated by other industry providers like Poker Stars with its Zoom product, Microgaming's Blaze offering, Speed Hold’em from Playtech, Fast Poker from Relax Gaming and others.

Party Poker's
entry into the market has been branded Fast Forward, and the product is currently trialling in free-to-play mode, with plans to launch in real money format as soon as company management is satisfied the product is ready to go.

That could take place in as little as two weeks’ time according to unidentified sources.
