Documentary evidence reportedly links junket company with Paul Phua bust.
 
The Las Vegas bust of an allegedly illegal sports betting ring exploiting the World Cup football tournament earlier this year ) continues to generate headlines around the world.
 
In the latest round of reports, Hong Kong media claim that the FBI-busted Caesars Palace ring allegedly headed by poker pro Paul Phua Wei-seng had links with prominent Hong Kong businessmen associated with triad activity and with ownership stakes in the Neptune Group, a high-roller junket business.
 
Neptune Group was allegedly one of the international companies used by the ring to pay out gamblers.
 
Media reports also indicate that amongst the evidence gleaned from the computers used by the Phua group was information on a number of international passports linked to Hong Kong-based individuals.
