Phil Ivey Down over 1 Million in Last 2 weeks
Saturday February 28,2015 : POKER PRO TAKES A HIGH STAKES BEATING
Phil Ivey has had an awful two weeks at the virtual tables.
Top international poker pro Phil "Polarizing" Ivey has had a nightmarish two weeks at the virtual high stakes tables on Full Tilt and Pokerstars, emerging as the biggest loser over both the last fortnight and this year to date.
The High Stakes Data Base reports that two weeks ago Ivey lost $614,348, and over the past week a further $506,006 over 7,043 hands in 28 desperate sessions.
That's a two week outflow of $1,120,354, and well ahead of other major losers, who last week included "AthaCliath" down $116,506 and "Sanlker" who dropped $111,289) on the Full Tilt nosebleed tables.
Much of Ivey's grief was due to the success of "Carlooo13" who took the famous pro for $340,000 at the 8-game $1,000/$2,000 tables.
On the more positive side, Isaac Haxton did well last week on both Full Tilt and Pokerstars, winning a total of $324,457 to become the biggest current winner, well ahead of closest rival "ClockWyze" on $114,775.
The biggest nosebleed stakes winner to date this year remains Ilari "Ilari FIN" Sahamies on $1,006,309, whilst the unfortunate Ivey presently heads the worst side of the leaderboard on -$1,288,207.
