Phil Iver On a Roll

December 27, 2012 : IVEY ON A ROLL AT POKERSTARS SITES

Online poker pro back with a bang

After all the unpleasantness of Black Friday and an ensuing absence from the internet scene , one of the world's top poker players returned to the virtual tables in December and has since been deploying his considerable talent to good advantage at Pokerstars and Full Tilt Poker.

With perhaps wry humour, Phil Ivey chose the handle “Polarizing” for his return and a new drive into the online poker nosebleed stakes scene, and just before Christmas Day earned himself a festive season boost of just over $460,000 against a range of skilled online players on both sites, according to the publication High Stakes DB.com.

HSDB reports that the biggest contributors to Ivey's bankroll came from Full Tilt, where he dominated the 2-7 triple draw tables, taking Alex "Alexonmoon” Luneau for $150,000 and Sebastien “Seb86” Sabic for $300,000 at different times on the same day.

It wasn't all plain sailing for Ivey, though – he lost a small bundle on the $200/$400 PLO tables before moving to Pokerstars, switching handles to RaiseOnce, and harvesting another $60,000 in less than a quarter-hour playing the mysterious but successful player Barcode and yiy01.
