Top player earned almost half a million last week.

Top international poker pro Phil Ivey made an impressive comeback last week from being the biggest loser on the virtual nosebleed tables at Pokerstars and Full Tilt to the biggest weekly winner, taking a profit of $279,782 (1,476 hands in 7 sessions) on Full Tilt and $201,624 (3,293 hands in 12 sessions) on PokerStars, according to the High Stakes Data Base.

The successful $481,406 run enabled Ivey to shake off the "biggest loser" title so far this year.

The mercurial but always exciting Viktor Blom was at the less pleasant end of the scale, finishing as one of the week's biggest losers for the second consecutive time and dropping $257,450.

Blom wasn't alone; Cort Kibler-Melby lost $226,050 on Full Tilt and another $127,734 on Pokerstars to end the week down $353,784; Jean-Robert Bellande lost $213,755 and Isaac Haxton was in the red to the tune of $114,885.

Joining Ivey on the more positive side of the balance sheet were Ben Tollerene, who was up at the end of the week $373,086 after around 1,800 hands over 12 sessions, and Elior Sion, who scored a positive $111,710 in 3,246 hands over 39 sessions.
