The deal with France Telecom and Orange TV effectively boosts The Poker Channel’s growth in France to 200 percent bringing the channel’s accessibility to over 30 million TV subscribers in 30 countries, including 9 million TV subscribers in France alone.

It’s been a good year so far for The Poker Channel as it announced an extension of its agreement with Portugal Telecom to become available on MEO Online in addition to MEO’s TV service and a recent distribution agreement with Vodafone Portugal.

Chris White, managing director, Gaming Media TV, said: "We're delighted that Poker Channel continues to go from strength to strength in France since changes to French gambling legalization last year. We have seen a 200 percent increase in both subscribers and ad revenue as a result of this and our increased investment in French-language programming. The partnership with Orange is another major milestone for poker fans."
