Tomorrow marks the opening day of this year’s Poker in the Park, scheduled to be the biggest and best attended festival of its type anywhere in Europe.   Now in its fourth year and spearheading the month-long London Poker Festival, the 2010 Poker in the Park is set to eclipse last year’s event which saw an estimated 20,000 people attend over two days.

Poker in the Park IV will kick off in Leicester Square at 4pm tomorrow, with poker champion and model, Liv Boeree, cutting the ribbon at the official opening.  One of the main attractions is sure to be five-time World Heavyweight Champion of the World , Evander Holyfield, who will be attending on behalf of the Real Deal Poker team in a special boxing ring marquee (the Real Deal Poker Arena).

Holyfield will be taking photos with fans during the two days of Poker in the Park, and will also go heads up with Real Deal satellite winner, Leif G, of Ludlow, Shropshire, on September 2 at 7.30pm on the Balcony of the Empire Casino. After Thursday’s Poker in the Park event, Real Deal Poker is hosting a Party at nearby Ruby Blue bar, where festival goers can party with the champ.

The tournaments at the 2010 event will be staged across two poker arenas; the Bodog Poker Dome, where free hourly turbo sit-n-go tournaments at eight tables will be accompanied by the world famous ‘Bodog girls’, and the Red Hot Poker Plex, where festival attendees will be given the chance to win the keys to a red hot Ferrari for a day. Lamborghini will also be on site with their super-powered energy drink.

This year’s lecture theatre, sponsored by Unibet, is set to include presentations by Dave ‘Devilfish’ Ulliott, John Tabatabai, Nik Wealthall, Neil Channing and Nik Persaud. Devilfish will be using Poker in the Park as the site of his new book launch and will offer guests a chance to get their copy of his autobiography signed by the man himself. Channing and Persaud will also be hosting the Blackbelt Tuition Marquee featuring the Bluff Europe Poker Academy.

In addition to all of this, there will also be the Nuts Magazine Poker and Photo Marquee, the Bluff Europe Heads-Up Challenge, the GCasino Marquee, Bidibot Live Auction Tent, Victory Poker Wet ‘n’ Wild Dunk Poker, the Win Me a Seat Oasis and the Poker Superstore Marquee.
