It's a fast-moving mishmash of action, but apparently the movie is all about a detective who has to use skills he learned in a police station poker game to save himself from a psychopath.
 
There are some very good actors in the movie, including Ron Perlman, Beau Mircheff and Breaking Bad’s Giancarlo Esposito.
