Traffic increased 2.3 percent overall last week
 
In its second weekly gain running, traffic to online poker sites rose 2.3 percent overall last week, according to the independent internet poker monitor Pokerscout.
 
The monitor reports that PartyPoker surged 7 percent and recaptured second place after spending 13 weeks at third behind Playtech's iPoker Network. The surge is attributed to Party's Card Rush promotion, in which players collect instant-win scratch card for prizes.
 
A number of operators recorded pleasing traffic gains of more than 6 percent, including Ongame (recently sold to Amaya Gaming); Winamax.fr; PokerStars.es; Bodog; PartyPoker.fr; iPoker.it; PKR and GTech G2's IPN.
 
On the negative side, Revolution network and iPoker saw traffic declines of 2 or more percent.
 
Pokerscout says that on a year-on-year comparison basis online poker traffic has decreased by 7 percent in the last year.
