Minimum guarantees increased
Online poker giant Pokerstars.com has announced the dates for the next edition of the World Championship of Online Poker, in which it is investing $30 million in tournament prize guarantees.
The 2011 WCOOP will run from September 4 through 25 and will feature 62 events, including a main event with a $5 million guarantee and a winner's take home of at least $1 million.
Buy-ins for the events range from $109 to $10,300 for the three High Roller events.
September 4 will see three events starting what promises to be an exciting and well-attended championship: a $215 no-limit hold'em six-max event, $10,300 no-limit hold'em high roller and a $215 no-limit hold'em event.
