Pokerstars released details of its charitable donations

Pokerstars and Full Tilt match players' aid donations.
 
The Rational Group, parent company of Pokerstars and Full Tilt, has released details of its charitable donations totalling $560,078 over the past 7 months, mainly benefitting victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines last year.
 
The two operational companies started a player fund with a commitment to match donations made by players on a dollar-for-dollar basis.
 
Thanks to the generosity of both players and companies, $560,078 was donated to the CARE International Foundation, through which key disbursements were made that included:
 
* Over 1,100 tonnes of food reached over a quarter million victims of the typhoon;
 
* Cash for food purchases in local markets was given to 3,700 desperate people;
 
* Emergency shelters or material for shelters was supplied to 117,000 victims;
 
* Training facilities and cash was made available to assist almost 20,000 survivors to again generate income.
