Pokerstars still not approved for NJ online gambling

Saturday November 16 ,2013 :  POKERSTARS ABSENT FROM LATEST NEW JERSEY APPROVED LIST (Update)

Timeframe to online gambling launch is shrinking.

With less than a week to go before the soft launch of New Jersey online gambling, the Pokerstars-Resorts partnership has still not appeared on the latest list of participants thus far approved by the New Jersey Casino Control Commission, heightening speculation that there may be a problem with the partnership’s application.

The latest list of approvals granted November 15 is comprised of service companies rather than operational entities per se, and industry experts were quick to note the absence of both Pokerstars and Caesars Entertainment.

The difference between the two applications (Caesars has 4 Atlantic City land operations) and Pokerstars is that the former company is on the agenda of the Casino Control Commission for the next set of approvals due on November 20…and Pokerstars/Rational Group partner Resort Atlantic City is not.
