Pokerstars Software Upgrade October 2012
Thursday, October 4, 2012 : SOFTWARE UPGRADE COMING FROM POKERSTARS
Extensive remake apparent from preview
Last weekend a select audience gathered at the London Film Museum for a preview of a major software upgrade planned by industry leader Pokerstars.
In a fifteen minute presentation, guests were walked through some extensive changes under the working title Pokerstars 7, which will be released soon for beta testing according to sources who were at the presentation. As such it is to be expected that changes could still be implemented, but key points appear to be:
* Simpler, less cluttered lobby.
* Easier navigational and functional access for new players, including a ‘quickstart' feature.
* Revamped ‘Live Events' navigation. Using a tab in the lobby players can access live poker tournaments sponsored by Pokerstars, and use a facility that enables them to add particularly favoured venues in order to stay in the info loop.
* Less pop-ups and more direct access to a broader range of table information in both standard list, stake level and table types, with fast and easy player sign-up integrated.
