Oklahoma judge approves plan to offer international online poker from tribal lands.
 
The Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma's tenacity in pursuing a business strategy to offer international online poker through servers located on tribal land  could be about to bear fruit.
 
After final arguments presented to U.S. District Judge David L. Russell following an indication from the state government earlier this year that it would not further oppose the issue, the tribe's PokerTribe.com project could now become a reality.
 
Judge Russell commented that “the tribe had met its burden of showing there was no material fact that required judgment as a matter of law.”
 
The Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma currently operates three casinos in the state of Oklahoma.
 
Whether the federal Department of Indian Affairs will attempt to intervene (as it has done in past similar issues) remains to be seen
