Portomaso Gaming has launched a new digital platform for its live casino and studio

Monday September 15,2014 :  MALTA PROVIDER BEEFS UP LIVE DEALER CASINO PLATFORM

Portomaso Gaming has launched a new digital platform for its live casino and studio.

Malta-based Portomaso Gaming has invested Euro 500,000 in improvements to its live dealer digital platform, which is now combined with the casino and studio into one product.

The investment also saw the creation of 25 new job opportunities on the Mediterranean island.

Parliamentary Secretary for Competitiveness and Economic Growth, Dr José Herrera was on hand to see the launch of the new combined product in Malta this week.

The new platform offers a complete bonus system, a new studio roulette with interactive background, high definition streaming and a dynamic games lobby.

The company invested in the new platform to reach a wider audience and to tap into the mobile games sector, a spokesman said over the weekend.

“The new technology employs technology through which the games can be accessed from both desktop computers and mobile devices and is compatible with all browsers and operating systems,” he said. “All streams are broadcast in high definition for a better experience all around.”

Explaining the changes from the previous platform, the spokesman said that the old version was built on the technology available at the time, and analogue streaming hampered the operation.

“The advanced features of the previous platform were a disadvantage to us since it restricted operators to a fixed games lobby, although the end user could open up to 16 games in one screen.

“The new platform was built with flexibility in mind to enable operators to design their own games lobby, and all games are HTML5 compatible meaning that they will work on any device,” he said, adding that the new product was the work of a dedicated team of 30 programmers and 15 graphic designers.

Work on the new platform began two years ago, with the first development a blackjack studio that added an interactive element to the game. Since then the offer increased to include live casino roulette, live studio roulette, automatic roulette, live studio blackjack, 60 RNG games and Punto Banco.

Tumas Gaming subsidiary Portomaso Gaming has been involved in the remore gaming business for the past seven years, initially offering streamed games from the company's land casino in Malta.

Four years ago the company started to produce RNG games, launching twelve games but going on to expand its portfolio to the current 60 games.
