Portugal Publishes Online Gambling Licensing Fees

Preparations in full swing.
The much anticipated fee structures for online gambling licensing in the Portuguese market were published late last week in the country’s Government Gazette as new online gambling regulations came into force.
Fee’s, according to the Gazette, are set at:
- Online licensing up to Euro 12000 per licence.
- Initial approvals of online gambling systems set at Euro 18000.00 plus Euro 2000.00 per:
- each type of betting;
- each type of game of chance;
- each new type of game of chance authorised under the provisions of nos. 2 through 4 of article 12 of the RJO
Official approval of the gambling technical system for the issue of a new licence is set at Euro 2000.00 per:
each type of betting;
each type of game of chance;
each new type of game of chance authorised under the provisions of nos. 2 through 4 of article 12 of the RJO
Official approval of the gambling technical system for operating games of chance is set at Euro 2000 for each type.
The issue or extension of a fixed-odds sports betting, totalisator/parimutuel and fixed-odds horse racing license is set at Euro 12000 respectively.
The issue or extension of a bingo license is set at Euro 2000.
