Purple Lounge In Deal With Devilfish Poker?

Tuesday, May 8,2012 : HAS PURPLE LOUNGE CLINCHED A DEAL WITH DEVILFISH POKER?

Mystery email suggests the possibility

The online poker information site RakeRace has reported what appears to be a new development in the failed Purple Lounge Poker debacle, revealing that on May 5 a blank email emanating from Devilfish Gaming was sent to registered users of Devilfish Gaming plc with "Devilfish Welcomes Purple Lounge Players" in the subject line.

News of the intriguing email triggered speculation among information-starved PL players that a deal has been brokered between the two sites, which are both on the Entraction network, and that the lack of any message in the email may indicate it was sent out prematurely and in error.

Neither company has clarified the position so far, despite Purple Lounge's promise over a week ago to tell players what was happening within seven days.

If a deal has been signed, it begs the question of where this leaves parent Media Corp's claimed agreement with Gaming Media Group, which has also been silent on both the Media Corp claim of advanced acquisition negotiations and the Devilfish news.

According to the Financial Times, Devilfish Poker is part of Angelfish Investments plc, formerly Devilfish Gaming plc, a United Kingdom-based company. In January 2012, the company sold its Weather Lottery Plc.
