Las Vegas exec heads to New Jersey
 
Caesars Entertainment senior executive Rick Mazer is heading across the country to New Jersey to head up Caesars land gambling operations in Atlantic City, reports the Associated Press news agency.
 
Bally's, Caesars, Harrah's Resort and Showboat casinos in Atlantic City and the Harrah's racetrack casino in Chester, Pa., will all fall under his authority, and he will also be responsible for overseeing company efforts to develop a $1 billion casino resort at Suffolk Downs racetrack in East Boston.
 
His appointment is contingent on New Jersey regulatory approval.
 
Mazer began his career as an Atlantic City craps dealer.
