Linton in a new online gambling job

Zynga’s vice president of revenue operations, Ryan Linton, has joined the stream of managers departing the social gaming giant, and has found a new home with the UK-based online gambling technology provider Betable.

“There are very few companies that can claim to have created a truly disruptive business model; Betable is one of those companies," Linton said in a statement issued by Betable recently.

“The significance of providing developers with the ability to overcome a tremendous barrier to entry, while at the same time giving them the power to offer real-money play within their own games, can’t be stressed enough.”

Christopher Griffin, chief executive officer at Betable, added, “Ryan is an important addition to our team. I have no doubt that  his deep experience with payment providers and world-class brands will lead us in exceeding our commitment to offering best-in-class experiences for both developers and players.”

Linton's new position with Betable is as Chief Revenues Officer.

During his management career with Zynga he was responsible for developing incremental revenue channels and long-term strategic partnerships with companies like American Express. He also established and executed Zynga's prepaid Game Card program and spearheaded marketing campaigns that bridged the offline and online world with Wal-Mart, Frito-Lay, 7-Eleven and Best Buy.

Throughout his career, Linton's focus has been to establish specific monetization strategies and operational processes at several companies during high-growth periods.

Last week Zynga made headlines with a decision by new CEO Don Mattick to eschew the US real money online gambling scene, sending the company’s stock price plummeting
