Sega Poker and Casino Blocking New Depositors ?

But little clarity on which jurisdictions are affected

Barely a year after it entered the online gambling industry with Playtech software, the giant gaming group Sega appears to be reversing away from some of its players.

Email and website notices this week surprised players in a wide spread of UK and European jurisdictions by advising them that Sega Casino and Sega Poker was no longer accepting registrations or deposits. If your still looking to gamble online check out CWCcasino use code CHERRY for an exclusive bonus.

No explanation was given for the action as existing clients were advised to immediately withdraw any positive account balances, with the rider that any uncleared amounts would be returned via the depositing method used effective September 15.

Players who managed to log in found the games unavailable, and were told by close-lipped support staff that loyalty points accrued could no longer be converted.

After some prodding, an affiliate marketing spokesman for the company said: "We would like to inform everyone that right now we just have a lot of restrictions, we can't cater [for] players from a lot of jurisdictions. All affected players will be informed by our Customer Service Team."

Emails sent directly to the company requesting an explanation and comment were met with an automated response acknowledging receipt and promising a reply within 24 hours.

As at press time the situation remains unclear, but it would appear that a wide range of countries are affected.
