Spanish Internet and online marketing company launches Soda Poker
As the convergence between social and online play-for-money gambling seemingly draws closer, Barcelona-based internet and online marketing company Cmedia has its foot in the door with a new multilingual social free-to-play online poker offering at Soda
The new offering is a "freemium" website, where players register to play-for-free and those who wish to play higher stakes games are invited to purchase into its "premium model" allowing more chips to play at a higher level.
The website provides four language options in Italian, English, French and Spanish and taps in to the social networking environment.  It is a sister site to Spanish gambling network MediaGambling which Cmedia acquired in 2007.
Cmedia claims its search engine positioning on premium niches, allows over 15 Million unique gambling visitors to visit its 1000 websites every year as well as a database of over 2 million online poker players which it says is growing by 100 000 new registrations each month.
At the time of InfoPowa going to press the website claimed 3000 players on the new poker tables.
