Sportech VAT Reclaim Case

Tuesday May 24,2016 : POSITIVE STEPS IN SPORTECH’S  VAT RECLAIM CASE (Update)

Sportech strikes another notch.
 
Sportech’s long-running legal claim against Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HRMC) was back in court this week with the Court of Appealrefusing HRMC permission to appeal to the Supreme Court against the Court of Appeal’s unanimous judgement in favour of Sportech’s GBP 97 million VAT reclaim case heard earlier this month.

HMRC now has the option of applying directly to the Supreme Court for permission to appeal against the decision of the Court of Appeal and has until June 17, 2016 to make such application.
