Malta-licensed online gambling operator to support Standard Liege.
 
The Belgian football club Standard Liege is the latest European football club to be sponsored by an online gambling company.
 
Unibet, an online gambling operator licensed in Malta has signed a sponsorship deal with the club making it official betting partner with logo display privileges on pitch-side advertising boards during the team’s home games at the Stade Maurice Dufrasne ground.
 
Established in 1898, Standard Liege is a previous Belgian national champion side
 
“Standard is a very particular case in the universe of Belgian football,” said Dennis Marien, Unibet's communications manager in Belgium. He added that the club had the largest fan base in Belgium.
