PADDY POWER IN RACING MEDIA RIGHTS DEAL WITH THE RACING PARTNERSHIP
 
Long term deal will see TRP content distributed throughout PPB’s Paddy Power retail betting estates.
 
The Paddy Power Betfair land and online betting group has announced the signing of a long term racing media rights deal with The Racing Partnership which will start early in 2017.
 
TRP content will be distributed throughout PPB’s Paddy Power retail betting estates under the agreement, including UK all-weather racing from Lingfield Park, Southwell and Wolverhampton tracks, along with broadcasts of all 15 Arena Racing Company owned-racecourses and seven independent racecourses from January 2018.
 
Dan Taylor, m.d. of PPB Retail said that the deal meant that PPB customers in all of the companys betting shops across Ireland and the UK will continue to see fixtures from TRP racecourses, as well as racing from South Africa.
 
TRP director Mark Kingston said:
 
“This is a significant step for The Racing Partnership as it continues to establish itself in the market. As one of the leading operators in the UK and Ireland, we are delighted to have agreed a deal with Paddy Power Betfair.”
 
The deal with Paddy Power Betfair brings the total number of UK and Irish betting shops that have signed up to TRP to more than 1,800 shops.
