Uk Fulltilt Players 20 percent reduction of reward points

Friday December 19,2014 : FULL TILT CHOPS U.K. PLAYER REWARDS

UK point-of-consumption tax blamed for reduction.

Amaya Gaming online gambling subsidiary Full Tilt has unveiled news for its UK players that are unlikely to go down well – a 20 percent reduction of reward points effective from December 16.

Th switch means that UK poker fans will receive eight points per dollar raked instead of 10 points per dollar raked, with a top-end to rewards of a 28 percent rakeback rate.

Full Tilt says the cut is necessary due to the imposition on operators of the new 15 percent tax by Britain. The tax applies to all online operators servicing the UK market.

Full Tilt VIP Black Card players will share some of the pain, too apparently; a company spokesman revealed earlier this week that:

"From 00:00 ET on Tuesday, December 16th, the rate at which Black Card players can convert their Full Tilt Points to cash will change to $1 for every 250 Full Tilt Points.

"If you’re a Black Card player and want to avail of the $1 for every 200 Full Tilt Points rate, simply convert your points before Tuesday, December 16th."

Poker forums quickly lit up on the bad news, with many players complaining about the short notice given for the changes.
