Wednesday August 12,2015 : U.K. GAMING COMMISSION APPROVES FIRST DISPUTE SOLVERS
List includes eCOGRA.
After some deliberation and enquiry, the UK Gaming Commission has published its first list of approved Alternate Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes companies in terms of the Competent Authorities and Information Regulations 2015.
Most online punters will recognise eCOGRA on the list, an independent player protection and standards organisation based in London that has been active in the online gambling space since 2003.
The Commission has pointed out that applications are still being accepted and successful applicants may be added to the list if they are accepted as suitable for approval.
The regulations specify the information required to be included in the list of approved ADR entities, which can be found by clicking on the approved ADR name in the table here:
Licensed gambling operators are required to use one or more of the ADR entities which appear on the approved list by 31 August 2015, and both ADR entities and gambling operators must be fully compliant with the ADR Regulations (as amended) by 1 October 2015
