Sky Poker UKPC main event Results

Thursday, March 3, 2016 : BIG VICTORY FOR YOUNG SINGAPORE POKER PRO

Edmund Yeung wins GBP 210,000 in the Sky Poker UKPC main event.

Edmund Yeung, a poker pro originally from Singapore but now residing in the UK, has bested a field of 1,003 to win the 2016 Sky Poker UK Poker Championships main event and add an impressive GBP 210,000 to his bank balance.

The prize was the largest first placing reward ever recorded from the UKPC Main Event, according to the tournament blog, in a tournament that lasted for five days.

The big win follows a GBP 10,000 cash in another live tournament last week by Yeung, making for a profitable period for the young pro, who started playing poker whilst studying International Hospitality Management at university.

On the final day of the event the elimination of third placed Leo McClean for GBP 83,500 set up a heads up between US poker pro Jack Hoffman and Yeung, but it was a clash quickly over as Yeung dominated the action to send Hoffman to the exit and the runner up prize of GBP125,000.

Other final table cashes included:

Ho Yin Lee GBP 55,000
Carl Jones GBP 40,000
Richard Pearson GBP 30,000
Andrew Garland GBP 23,000
Lawrence Bayley GBP 18,000
Brett Angell GBP 15,000
