Unibet Looking to invest in Israeli startups

And signs major boxing sponsorship deal.

According to Israeli news agency Globes.co.il, Unibet is sending a team of representatives to meet with around 20 entrepreneurs in Tel Aviv with a view to investing in Israeli startups.

Unibet executives will hold a meet and greet event later this week at community co-working space Cowork Bay during which it will reportedly consider potential investments.

In related news, Unibet is the newest official sponsor of 38-year-old Danish Light Middleweight professional boxer Rudy (the Hardhitter) Markussen.

Marksmen will make a comeback in the boxing ring at Nordic Fight Night in Frederikshavn on September 12, 2015 almost three years after his last fight in 2012.

“Amazing stories unfold in the world of sport, and we’re proud to be a part of this one,” said Unibet spokesperson Stefan Phlug.

“Rudy's struggle against Patrick Nielsen will be the biggest boxing match on Danish soil for years, and we look forward to bringing the boxing fraternity even closer to the clash”.
