Fifth virtual product, a huge motion capture project.

Betradar has launched a Virtual Basketball sports betting product, the first it says in the market, and its fifth sports variant.

The “Virtual Basketball League” (VBL) is the result of a massive Motion Capture technology project where two professional basketball teams were captured by over a hundred cameras and sensors on a full-size basketball court, hosted in a movie studio in Great Britain.

Prior to filming, half-a-million real-basketball events were analysed including player position, shot types and success rates which provided the foundation of all play moves and shots seen now in Virtual Basketball, Betradar said.

“Virtual Basketball has been developed for punters to place bets intuitively. It’s the first virtual basketball product out in the market and brings in assets we have in our other virtual sports that have proven to be highly attractive to bettors. We are absolutely convinced that it will take the revenues of our clients to new heights”, commented Managing Director of Betradar, Neale Deeley.
