Poker Traffic Down 6.3 Percent Last Week

Wednesday June 20, 2012 : WEEKLY POKER TRAFFIC DECLINED 6.3 PERCENT LAST WEEK

Despite Spain coming on stream, the action continues to languish internationally

The independent online poker monitor Pokerscout's weekly report on industry performance showed a decline in internet poker traffic last week of 6.3 percent compared with the same period last year – the sixth week of a continued downward slide.

Pokerstars continued to lead the market by a healthy margin, followed at the top by iPoker and Party Poker in that order, with 888poker and the Ongame network occupying the fourth and fifth spots…but all five top sites showed slower performances.

Looked at year-on-year, internet poker traffic has declined 21 percent in all, with PKR (down 42 percent), Merge (down 21 percent) and the French dedicated site owned by Pokerstars (down 33 percent) notable for dips in traffic.
