William Hill is UK Gambling King

New study by GamblingData shows Will Hill is king of the UK hill
 
 European Online Regulated Markets Data Report 2012 makes for interesting reading, setting out the UK market share of Britain's biggest operators.
 
In a ranking based on currently available statistics, the report positions leading companies as follows:
 
William Hill plc holds 15 percent of the retail and online market, worth almost GBP 253 million a year.
 
The Betfair online and betting exchange group is its closest rival, holding 11 percent, pursued by online gambling group bet365 on 9.5 percent.
 
Paddy Power occupies the fourth spot on 8 percent, with Ladbrokes online and retail group closely following with 7.5 percent, and online poker giant Pokerstars in sixth place on 6 percent.
 
Gamesys holds around 5.5 percent, and 888 Holdings with 5 percent occupy the seventh and eighth spots, with Skybet and Bwin.Party vying for ninth placing on 4.5 percent apiece.
 
The retail and online gambling groups Rank plc and Gala Coral plc are low on the list with 4 percent of the market each, and the last 15.5 percent is held piecemeal by a range of smaller companies.
