Good returns prompt more focus on the Irish online punter
 
The Gibraltar-based internet gambling division of William Hill plc is set to launch a dedicated Irish website in the next three months, to capitalise on an increase in revenues from its internet operations, reports the Irish Examiner this week.
 
It is anticipated that such a site, aimed directly at Irish-based customers, will deliver increased activity.
 
William Hill Online performed strongly in H1 2010  with operating profit thought to be up by 43 percent on the corresponding period last year and divisional revenue up by around 24 percent, year-on-year.
 
While the Irish division is not broken out from group figures in company reportage, the company said the online business in Ireland enjoyed "very strong growth" in the six months.
